In 1967, a passenger plane carrying 142 people disappeared from the sky. Their last reported position was over an unchartered area of land referred to locally only as ‘Bohda Te’. Fourteen years later an American army manoeuvre in nearby mountains strayed off their designated co-ordinates, and into the deserted plains of Bohda Te. Radio contact with the patrol went dead, seconds after the transmission; “It smells like cat, sir..”. Most recently, noted Mexican serial killer and minor TV personality Puebo Noso made his final dash for freedom in a stolen camper van, being pursued by the authorities of three different countries who had worked tirelessly to hunt him down. The pursuit was followed closely by television cameras circling high above in news helicopters. Puebo was driving erratically, and in his desperation was heading over the unmarked border into Bohda Te. |
